Your team’s data, treated seriously

TeamZap holds information about your business and your people. This page explains plainly how we protect it — what we do, stated as facts, without badge-collecting.

How your data is protected

Encryption in transit

All traffic between your devices and TeamZap is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS.

Role-based access

Admins, managers and employees each see only what their role allows. Managers are scoped to their own locations.

Two-factor authentication

Optional 2FA with authenticator apps and backup codes; businesses can require it for staff roles.

Secure sign-in options

Email and password with strength requirements, Google and Apple sign-in, and session management with revocation.

Cloud hosting on AWS

TeamZap runs on Amazon Web Services infrastructure, with environment isolation between development and production.

Tenant isolation

Every business’s data is scoped to its own account at the application layer — enforced on every query.

Audit logging

Key actions are recorded in audit logs, so there’s an answer to “who changed this?”

GDPR tooling built in

Data export, subject access request handling, erasure workflows and consent records are product features, not promises.

Your data is yours

You control your account and your records. Reports and timesheets export to CSV whenever you want them, and GDPR data-export tooling can produce your data on request. If you leave, your data leaves with you.

Our privacy policy sets out what we collect and why, in plain language.

Frequently asked questions

Where is my data stored?

On Amazon Web Services cloud infrastructure operated by TeamZap.

Do you hold security certifications like ISO 27001 or SOC 2?

Not yet — and we won’t claim badges we don’t hold. As TeamZap grows we will pursue the certifications our customers need and announce them when they are genuinely achieved.

Can employees see wage or HR information about others?

No. Role-based permissions mean employees see their own records only; managers see their teams; wage and report access is restricted to authorised roles.

How do I report a security concern?

Email [email protected] with the subject “Security”. Reports go straight to the engineering team and we respond quickly.
