Built AI-first

Team management, entering the AI era

TeamZap is built as an AI company builds software: intelligence woven through scheduling, attendance and insight — doing the arithmetic, the balancing and the forecasting so managers can do the managing. We’re precise about what it does and doesn’t do, and managers make every decision.

The honest version

What TeamZap’s AI actually helps with

Four practical jobs, each explained plainly.

Shift suggestions

For any unfilled shift, TeamZap ranks your team by fit — availability, skills and role match, fairness of hours, rest time, and cost — with the reasons shown for every suggestion.

Rota scoring

Draft rotas get a fairness, compliance and cost score, so you can compare versions and see the effect of a change before publishing.

Compliance warnings

Suggestions carry warnings — missing certifications, short rest gaps, long working weeks, approved leave — so risks surface while you plan.

Demand forecasting

Your own clock-in history builds an hour-by-hour picture of when you’re busy, so staffing can follow real demand instead of habit.

You stay in charge

Suggestions with reasons — decisions with managers

Every recommendation is shown with its working: why this person, what to watch out for. You can accept it, pick someone else, or ignore the list entirely. TeamZap never assigns a shift, approves a request or changes a rota on its own.

  • Transparent, reviewable, adjustable

See why each suggestion was made and override it freely — the system adapts to what you actually schedule.

  • Not a replacement for judgement

TeamZap doesn’t know that two colleagues work brilliantly together — you do. It handles the arithmetic so you can apply the judgement.

Your data

Built on your data, working for you

Suggestions and forecasts are computed from your business’s own information inside TeamZap — availability, schedules, attendance history and roles. As your operational history grows, demand forecasts become more useful.

  • Your data stays yours

Your business data is used to power features for your business — it is not used to train models for other companies.

What’s next

The AI-era roadmap

TeamZap is built for a world where your software talks to your AI assistants — securely, with your permissions.

Coming next is secure AI-agent access via MCP — the Model Context Protocol, the open standard from Anthropic that lets AI assistants work with your business tools. Ask your assistant who’s on tomorrow, draft next week’s rota, or summarise this month’s absence — with every action governed by the same roles and permissions your team already has. Nothing is exposed to any AI without your say-so.

The demand forecasts and suggestions you use today keep getting more useful as your operational history grows — and everything new we build follows the same rule: AI does the routine work, your managers keep the judgement.

Frequently asked questions

Will AI build my rota for me?

TeamZap can propose a best-fit employee for every unassigned shift in one pass — but each assignment is confirmed by a manager. Think of it as a very fast assistant, not an autopilot.

What information does it consider?

Employee availability, skills and role match, fairness of hours across the team, rest periods between shifts, wage cost, plus warnings from leave, certifications and working-time checks.

Does it get better over time?

Demand forecasting improves as your attendance history builds up, because it is computed from your own operational data.

Is my data used to train AI for other companies?

No. Your data powers features for your business only.
